The Endless Walk is a video performance by Ece Batur that continues the narrative of I Am Hungry. Wearing a bodysuit adorned with silicone casts of 24 vulva-shaped clay bowls and distorted fabric pads, the artist walks slowly for five minutes while a poem she wrote plays in the background. The piece explores the emotional weight of patriarchy, revealing vulnerability through the perception of a body made strange. It challenges objectification, presenting not eroticism but a fractured form haunted by inherited trauma. Despite appearing clothed, the artist’s internal nakedness is exposed, tracing a quiet endurance and a longing for liberation. Inspired by previous works and feminist artists like Penny Slinger, Cosey Fanni Tutti, Lee Bul, and Su Richardson, the performance weaves together craft, voice, and movement as acts of resistance.
